Pak planes trespass into Poonch area

Jammu, December 31
Two Pakistani UAVs today violated Indian air space from across the Mendhar sector in Poonch.

Defence Ministry sources said that while one Pakistani UAV intruded into Indian skies from across Mendhar and hovered over the area for a minute or so at 12.15 p.m. another UAV was spotted at 1.37 p.m.

Today’s air violation from the Pakistani side in the border belt of Poonch and Rajouri was the third during the past over three weeks.

Meanwhile, three militants and one Army Captain were killed in a fierce gunbattle between the troops and the rebels in the Kalali area of Surankot belt of Poonch today. One woman, Naseem Akhtar, was also killed in the crossfire between militants and the Army.
