New Delhi, October 22
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has been advised complete rest for the next two to three days.

The Prime Minister is learnt to be suffering from `viral infection’. He was examined by a team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) yesterday and this morning. His disease has been diagnosed as viral infection with symptoms of running nose, sore throat and body ache.

Mr Vajpayee had cut short his visit to Lucknow because of his bad health. A Cabinet meeting scheduled for yesterday was postponed due to the Prime Minister’s health.

In view of his indisposition, all engagements of the Prime Minister were cancelled for the second day today.
