Departure: They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.2°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan). Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.
