PAK war games conclude
Islamabad, July 26
Pakistan today concluded its biggest war games in three decades with President Pervez Musharraf asserting that its armed forces were capable of delivering a “telling blow” to “anyone” attacking the country even as world leaders visit the subcontinent to de-escalate tension between New Delhi and Islamabad. London-Delhi friendship pact
London, July 26
A friendship agreement has been signed between London and New Delhi that will give an impetus to cultural and economic ties between the two historic cities. The agreement was signed yesterday by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and London Mayor Ken Livingstone at the new City Hall here. PTI

Pak scribe’s charge
Islamabad, July 26
A Pakistani newspaper editor has charged the ISI with intimidating him to extract information about the source of a story which appeared in the daily. The editor, Muzaffar Ejaz, also complained that he was being tailed by motorbike riders. PTI

Landslide in China
Beijing, July 26
A landslide buried a group of cave dwellings in China’s northwest, killing 17 persons, the official Xinhua news agency said today. The landslide occurred last afternoon near Yan’an, a city in Shaanxi province. AP
