Petroleum dealers to observe strike
Kolkata, June 10
All 1,850 petrol stations in West Bengal, including 370 in the city, will observe a 30-hour strike from Tuesday in protest against the recent “arbitrary’’ decision of four oil companies to hike prices of petrol and diesel. The West Bengal Petroleum Dealers Association (WBPDA) has called the strike since the oil companies had unilaterally increased the prices despite promises by Petroleum Minister Ram Naik that there would be no price hike till August, WBPDA working president Tushar Sen said here on Monday.
