Sahil, who have been making news ever since they cleared the class V examination in March this year, this morning received numerous messages of hope.
The Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Lieut Gen J.F.R. Jacob (retd), presents gift packs to shoeshine boys before seeing them off to Solan from the UT Secretariat, Sector 9, Chandigarh, on Thursday.

In an effort to streamline the disposal of carcasses and hazardous hospital waste, the Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park authorities have decided to set up an incinerator on the zoo premises.
No respite from heatwave in sight

Three seemed to be no respite in sight for the northern region from the heatwave as temperatures rose by several degrees today, with the city recording the season’s second highest maximum temperature so far at 43.6°C, five degrees above normal. Amritsar sizzled at 45.5°C, six degrees above normal.
