15 family courts to be set up in Delhi

The Centre has sanctioned 15 posts of judges along with 202 ancillary posts of various categories for the setting up of 15 family courts in Delhi. These would be located in different areas in the Capital including the Parliament Street, Kirpa Narain Marg, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, Saket, Janakpuri Institutional Area, Shahdara, and Dheerpur.

Area committees formed to maintain community centres

The architect of Bhagidari (government-citizen partnership) Programme, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, today announced the constitution of area committees under the chairmanship of the local MLAs, with councillors and representatives of the resident welfare associations as members, to maintain the community centres in their respective localities.

Rs 1.05 cr paid in power dues

The total recovery of the pending power bills in the rural areas of the district, under the ongoing ‘waiver’ scheme, had touched Rs 1.05 crore till yesterday. Only three days are left for the scheme to lapse and the power department hopes to recover another Rs 8 crore.
