1 stabbed in Gujarat Ahmedabad, May 13 One person was injured when he was stabbed by unidentified persons in Sarangpur locality under Kalupur police station area. Indefinite curfew continued in Dani Limda police station area as tension prevailed after some miscreants set afire a shop at Behrampura yesterday. Curfew was relaxed this morning in Haveli police station area to enable people to buy essentials. While curfew was lifted for four hours in Kagadapith and Kalupur police station areas, it was relaxed in Shahpur, Karanj and Vejalpur from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. In a major initiative to build confidence among the communities, newly-appointed City Police Commissioner K.R. Kaushik and additional commissioners Satish Sharma and Satish Varma met local leaders and senior citizens of the sensitive area during the past two days and appealed for restraint. Such a measure had been discussed at a meeting of Punjab’s former supercop K.P.S. Gill, who is the Security Adviser to the Chief Minister, with senior police officers.
