India calls for global coalition against terror

London, April 28
In an indirect indictment of Pakistan, India has called for strengthening global coalition against terror not only to eliminate terrorist groups but also “the support-bases that nurture terrorism.”

Speaking at the fourth meeting of the India-UK Round Table at Kingston, on the outskirts of London yesterday, Mr K.C. Pant, Co-Chairman of the Round Table, said it was unfortunate that open and democratic societies “such as ours are so vulnerable to terrorist attacks”.

The India-UK Joint Working Group on Terrorism, which met for the third time here on Friday, is a mechanism to exchange views and information on this issue of great concern to both countries, he added. PTI
