Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. The weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures : Past 24 hours’ change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 39.10C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little in Jammu and Kashmir. Forecast valid until the morning of March 28: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Hailstorms/thundersqualls are likely at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 28: Mainly clear sky. A thundery development may occur in some areas towards the evening/night. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 350C and 190C, respectively.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of March 28: A development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
