Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. The Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Kangra and Nagrotasurian (3 each), Guler and Sujanpur Tira (2 each) and Baijnath (1), east Uttar Pradesh: Balrampur (8), Kakrahi and Shardanagar (5 each), Bahraich and Chandradeepghat (4 each), Ayodhya and Birdghat (3 each), Basti, Palliakalan and Sultanpur (2 each) and Bhatpurwaghat. Hanuman Setu (Lucknow), Khadda and Kakardharighat (1 each) and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar (5), Dehra Dun (3), Tehri (2) and Uttarkashi (1).

Forecast valid until the morning of 1st September: Rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. The weather will be mainly dry in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 1st September: Partly cloudy sky with a possibility of thundery development in some areas.
