Prabhakar bail plea case hearing today
Dehra dun, July 16
A Nainital court today adjourned till tomorrow the hearing on the bail plea of former test cricketer Manoj Prabhakar in a cheating case, the police said. District Judge S.C. Tiwari adjourned the hearing after the defence lawyers failed to appear in court because of the “haryala” festival, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nainital Jeevan Chandra Pandey told PTI.
Meanwhile, Prabhakar, who was admitted to a private nursing home in Haldwani on July 3 following a suspected brain stroke, “is still under treatment and his condition is stable”, hospital sources said. Prabhakar, who was arrested in Delhi on July 2, has been remanded to judicial custody till July 21. PTI
