The South-west monsoon has further advanced into most parts of west Uttar Pradesh, remaining parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Punjab.

The South-west monsoon has further advanced into most parts of west Uttar Pradesh, remaining parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Punjab. Conditions are favourable for further advance of the south-west monsoon into the remaining parts of Haryana (including Delhi) and remaining parts of Punjab and Rajasthan during next two to three days.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Punjab, at many places in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in east Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chandigarh and Kaithal — 11 each, Naraingarh — 9, Guhla — 4, Ambala and Tohana — 3 each, Thanesar — 2 and Panipat — 1; Himachal Pradesh: Paonta — 4, Dharampur, Solan and Sangraha — 2 each and Shimla — 1; Punjab: Halwara and Nakodar — 6 each, Ludhiana — 5, Batala, Dhuri and Talwandi Bhai — 3 each, Zira — 2 and Patiala — 1; Rajasthan: Sriganganagar — 3.

Temperature: past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in Punjab, fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Forecast valid until the morning of June 25: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Thundersqualls are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
