Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at a few places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath 3, Rajasthan: Jaipur and Kota 2 each, Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad and Turtipar 6 each, Basti, Mukhlishpur and Regoli 5 each, Bani 3, Balrampur 2 and Gorakhpur, Ghazipur, Hindon and Kanpur 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.1° C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 22: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in rest of the region.
