Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and Rajasthan and isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Hisar 7, Gohana and Jind 6 each, Kaithal 4, Guhla 3, Panipat and Sirsa 2 each and Bhiwani, Chandigarh, Nilokheri and Narwana 1 each. Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 8, Pachhad 4 and Baijnath 1, Punjab: Patti 3, Dhuri and Nakodar 2 each and Halwara and Zira 1 each, Rajasthan: Udaipur AP 5, Nokha and Pali 3 each, Beawar and Mount Abu 2 each and Bhim and Churu 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana and west Rajasthan, rose in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely below normal in Punjab, markedly below normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh and appreciably below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.3°C recorded at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 18: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 18: Moderate to rather heavy rain will occur at many places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.

Earthquake report: An earthquake of slight intensity having magnitude 4 on the richter scale occurred at 13 hours 18 minutes I.S.T. on June 15 with its epicentre at latitude 14.8 N and longitude 78.8 E in the Andhra Pradesh region.
