Dharamsala, May 11
The special disciplinary committee of Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College has revoked the rustication of 33 of second year students. Their conduct will remain on probation for a year.

The Principal of the college, Dr R. L. Gupta, said it was the decision of the disciplinary committee to revoke the rustication. He said the rustication orders had been revoked on several conditions to maintain discipline and check ragging.

He said that students had been asked to deposit a surety of Rs 10,000 within 10 days.

Dr Gupta said the students had apologised for the ragging and an undertaking had been taken from them to prevent harassment of freshers.

The college authorities had rusticated them for ragging, including physical assault, on the night of April 23-24.

Dr Gupta said the examinations which were to begin on May 2 would now commence on May 19.
