Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in east Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Haryana: Hisar 3 and Jagadhari, Kaithal, Kalka and Sirsa 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Jubbal, Kataula, Nadaun and Sujanpur Tira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 3 and Kathua 1, Punjab: Dhuri, Jagraon and Mukerian 1 each and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 2.

Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little in Rajasthan. Departures: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.4°C recorded at Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan).
