Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Himachal, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Punjab and UP and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Haryana: Jagadhari and Kalka I each; Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 4, Nahan 2 and Berthin, Kahu, Kasol, Kangra, Rampur Bushar and Sunibhaji 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 2 and Banihal and Quazigund 1 each; Punjab: Adampur 1; Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Banda and Sarsawa 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell largely in east UP, fell in Haryana, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. 

Departures: They were markedly below normal in east UP, appreciably below normal in Himachal, below normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.4°C recorded at Barmer and Jalore (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 16th: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in UP and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal, UP and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 16th: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development and light rain in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 34°C.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Weather will be mainly dry.
