Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Bangana and Guler 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 1, Uttar Pradesh: Hindon and Sarsawa 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehradun 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell largely in Uttaranchal, fell markedly in Haryana and Punjab, fell in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.0°C recorded at Narnaul (Haryana).
