6 youths drowned in Cauvery
MYSORE, Jan 27 (UNI) — Six youths on a picnic here from Bangalore drowned in the Cauvery river, the police said on Saturday. Efforts were being made to fish out the bodies, who drowned at Talkadu near T. Narasimpura, about 40 km from here. The area witnessed another mishap on Friday when a couple on a moped got jammed between two loaded trucks. They were killed instantly. 

5 Kumbh pilgrims die in mishap
KUMBH NAGAR, Jan 27 (UNI) —  Five Kumbh pilgrims were killed and another seriously injured in an accident on the Rewa road under Naini police station on Friday. According to the police the pilgrims, coming to the Kumbh mela, were killed when their three-wheeler got smashed between two trucks. The six victims were brought to a hospital in Allahabad, where five of them were declared dead, while the condition of another was stated to be serious.
