Arafat turns down $ 30 b US offer
GAZA CITY, Aug 11 (AP) — Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has turned down an American plan to set up a $ 30 billion international fund to resettle refugees, a Palestinian official said. Mr Salim Zanoun, the Chairman of the PLO Central Council, said yesterday that the offer came during last month’s summit at the Camp David presidential retreat outside Washington.
