Troops check Tigers’ advance
COLOMBO, May 14 — Sri Lankan troops, aided by fighter bombers and helicopter
gunships, today halted the LTTE’s bid to make further advance into Jaffna town and rushed more troops and weapons to counter the rebels’ onslaught.
