101 die in road mishap
NAIROBI, March 29 (Reuters) — At least 101 persons were killed when two buses collided and burst into flames in western Kenya today, the police said. Police spokesman Peter Kimanthi said most of the bodies were burned beyond recognition. The buses crashed at Kapkatunga, a rural business centre near Kericho, about 300 km west of the Capital Nairobi.

Bill on Vananchal
PATNA, March 29 (UNI) — The Union Home Ministry has sent to the Bihar Government for its approval the Bill for to the creation of a separate Vananchal or Jharkhand state comprising 18 districts of South Bihar. The Bill after approval from the President had been handed over to the Resident Commissioner of Bihar in New Delhi today, state Home Secretary U.N. Panjiyar told newspersons here.

UP religion Bill
LUCKNOW, March 29 (PTI) — The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker, Mr Kesri Nath Tripathi, today conceded to the Opposition demand for a discussion on the controversial “UP Religious Places Bill,” which rocked proceedings of the House since the Budget session began on March 23. The Samajwadi Party (SP), the BSP and the Congress have been demanding discussion and voting on their notices seeking withdrawal of the Bill alleging various provisions in it targeted the minority community.
