Finance Bill introduced
NEW DELHI, Feb 29 (UNI) — Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha introduced the Finance Bill for 2000-01 in the Lok Sabha today. He later tabled a copy of the Budget in the Rajya Sabha.

Bihar Assembly constituted
NEW DELHI, Feb 29 (UNI) — The formation of the Government in Bihar will be set in motion with the Election Commission today signing the notification to formally constitute the newly-elected Assembly in the state. Bihar Governor Vinod Chand Pandey had said that he would await the formal constitution of the new Assembly before considering the rivals claims of the NDA and the RJD to form the state government.

Manipur ministry
IMPHAL,Feb 29 (UNI) — A coalition ministry headed by the Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) is all set to assume power with its tested ally Federal Party of Manipur (FPM) and the BJP joining the bandwagon. The United Front comprising MSCP and FPM won 29 seats and the BJP six while a lone RJD member, an Independent, four NCP and three Manipur Peoples’ Party men also joined the MSCP increasing the total strength of the coalition to 44. Results for 58 seats have been declared in a House of 60.
