REGION

Saturday: Rain or snow occurred at most places in Himachal. Rain occurred at most places in Haryana and Punjab. Chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Solan 5; Nahan 4; Ambala, Patiala and Shimla 3 each and Chandigarh, Rohtak, Ludhiana, Sunni, Nadaun and Ghamroor 2 each and Hisar, Amritsar, Nangal Dam, Bhuntar, Rampur, Kasol, RL-1700 (Sutlej and Beas catchment area), Guler and Nagrota-Surian one each.

Night temperatures rose largely in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. These were markedly below normal in Himachal and above normal in Haryana and Punjab. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.6°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast: Moderate to rather heavy rain or snow is likely to occur at many places in Himachal. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in Punjab and Haryana. Hailstorm is likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal and Punjab.
