NEW DELHI, Dec 13 (PTI) — The newly-elected Delhi Assembly begins its first session tomorrow when MLAs will be sworn in by pro tem Speaker Ram Bhaj. The Assembly is unlikely to witness any fireworks during the session which, besides oath taking will witness the election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker on Tuesday.

4 killed in Pak
PESHAWAR, Dec 13 (AFP) — At least four persons were killed and 12 injured today when an explosion ripped through a shop in an arms and ammunition market in a northwestern Pakistani tribal town on the border with Afghanistan, the police said. Some explosive material stored at a shop in Landi Kotal town, 45 km northeast of here, exploded, killing its owner and three others.

8 killed in blast
CHITTORGARH, Dec 13 (PTI) — Eight persons, including five children, were killed when cartons of explosives blew up while being unloaded from a jeep here, the police said. The district administration has sanctioned Rs 10,000 each for the next of kin of those killed.

2 cops killed
MATHURA, Dec 13 (PTI) — Five persons, including two police constables, were killed and a Sub-Inspector was injured when a jeep carrying a police party and a truck collided at Fatiha village, near here, today, the police said. The police party was returning from Agra after arresting two men in a kidnapping case when the accident occurred.

4 die in mishap
FATEHABAD, Dec 13 (FOC) — Four women were killed and eight others injured when a Haryana Roadways bus hit a jeep they were travelling in on the Sirsa road today. The victims were on way to Jodhka village near Sirsa. The dead include Dayawanti (35), and Kamla (45), both residents of Dhani Khan Mohamad, Nirmala (33) resident of Dhani-Chhatterian and Ram Devi (55) a resident of Bidrana (Jind).
