Summary: The monsoon has
been active in Himachal Pradesh. Rainfall has
occurred at most places in HP and at a few places
in Haryana and Punjab. The chief amounts of
rainfall in cm were: Balachaur 14; Nangal Dam 11;
Dasuya and Sutlej-Beas catchment area 9 each, Una
6, Ropar 4, Sundernagar, Pandoh, Kahu and Jagraon
4 each; Guler, Mehra, Khairi, Chandigarh and
Kasol 3 each; Ghamroor, Arki, Kasauli, Nalagarh,
Nagrota Surian, Nadaun and Chaurah 2 each; and
Gohla, Dharampur, Shimla, Berthin & Sujanpur
Tira 1 each.
Forecast: Moderate to rather
heavy rain will occur at many places in Haryana,
HP & Punjab. Heavy rain is likely to occur at
isolated places in the region during the next 48
