Protesters on August 05 climbed atop a large statue of Ex-PM Sheikh Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Protesters chiselled away at Mujibur Rahman statue’s head with an axe. Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 05 and fled Bangladesh amid violent unrest. However, Army Chief General Waker-Us-Zaman said that Hasina had left the country and an interim Govt would be formed. PM Sheikh Hasina landed at the Hindon Air Base near New Delhi in a C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft. After landing in India, Ex-Bangladeshi PM held discussions with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on the present situation in Bangladesh at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad. Meanwhile, security has been heightened outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi after PM Sheikh Hasina reached India amid ongoing protests. Notably, over 100 have been killed in deadly violence in parts of Bangladesh. #bangladesh #SheikhMujiburRahman #SheikhHasina
