In a heartwarming initiative on the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth anniversary, Tera Tera Hatti, a charity shop that sells clothes, utensils among other household items to the poor at Rs 13 per piece, organized a unique langar distributing turbans, patkas and clothing to the needy. The event, held on November 14, 15 and 16, saw an overwhelming response as 21,000 patkas, 1,200 turbans and clothing items were provided free of cost to families at Khalsa School and various Gurdwara Sahibs across the city.

The initiative aimed to spread Guru Nanak's teachings of selfless service, equality and compassion. Speaking on the occasion, Tarwinder Singh Rinku, the chief sevadar of Tera Tera Hatti, emphasized the importance of seva (selfless service) and thanked the Sangat (community) for their support. "This initiative ensures that everyone entering a Gurdwara Sahib does so with respect by covering their head, a practice that reflects humility and devotion," he said.

Other members who participated included Gurdeep Singh Karwan, Jaswinder Singh Panesar, Parvinder Singh Khalsa, Amarpreet Singh, Mandeep Kaur and others. Tarwinder Singh Rinku also expressed gratitude to families and persons who have consistently worked towards supporting underprivileged families, embodying Guru Nanak's philosophy of "Vand Chakko" (sharing with others).
