Chandigarh, March 16

The nomination papers of all three Rajya Sabha candidates from Haryana — Ram Chander Jangra and Dushyant Kumar Gautam of the BJP and Deepender Singh Hooda of the Congress — were on Monday found to be in order after scrutiny by Returning Officer Ajit Balaji Joshi.

This clears the decks for the entry of all three candidated into the Rajya Sabha unopposed. The final results will be declared on March 18. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
