A day before the 552nd Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Dev, a nagar kirtan was taken out here on Thursday. Sikh sangat from across the nation and the world participated in the procession which passed through various traditional markets of the walled city. Under the patronage of Guru Granth Sahib, which was placed in a decorated golden palanquin, and led by Panj Pyare, the SGPC organised the nagar kirtan in association with various religious societies and the sangat.— TNS
