As many as 37 persons, including senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, were booked by the UT police under Section 188 of the IPC for staging a protest near Punjab Raj Bhawan on Friday.

The protesters were detained from Sector 7/26 dividing road while they were marching towards Raj Bhawan, demanding dismissal of the Punjab Government over the spurious liquor tragedy.

They were taken to the Sector 3 police station from where they were released. The case was registered at the Sector 26 police station.
