Haryana Assembly election: BJP to take people’s suggestions for manifesto, says Mohan Lal Badoli

The ruling BJP has geared up for the Assembly election with a strategy to connect with voters by seeking suggestions and incorporating those into a comprehensive ‘sankalp patra’ (manifesto), said BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli.

“We are fully prepared for the Assembly election and will form the government for the third consecutive time. We will prepare a ‘sankalp patra’ after getting suggestions about issues and solutions. There are 19,812 booths in the state which are likely to be increased and our booth workers will reach out to each and every household,” said Badoli on Monday on the sidelines of his meeting with party workers and leaders at the party’s district office ‘Karna Kamal’. At the meeting, he emphasised on the party’s preparedness and confidence in forming the government for a third consecutive term.

Badoli exhorted them to work with the same dedication displayed during the Lok Sabha elections, aiming for a clean sweep of all five seats in Karnal district in the upcoming Assembly elections.

On the issue of the Congress’ ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign led by MP Deepender Hooda and a similar yatra by Congress MP Kumari Selja, Badoli took a dig at Congress over its internal conflicts.

“Congress factions are busy settling scores with each other. Congress has always worked to divide the country,” he stated.

On being asked about the recent change of six district presidents before the Assembly elections, Badoli dismissed concerns, claiming it a routine process within the party. He also countered claims about Congress having numerous ticket aspirants by asserting that the BJP has aspirants at each ‘shakti kendra’.

Badoli praised the works done by the Union and the state governments, saying these had contributed to the development of the country and the state.

When asked about Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Badoli said, “He was the same Kejriwal who used to say that he would resign if allegations were against him, but even after going to jail, he is sitting on the chair and running the government from jail.”
