Accused in Tauru DSP Surendra Singh murder case granted bail

The chief judicial magistrate court of Nuh on Thursday granted bail to one of the 12 accused in Tauru DSP Surendra Singh’s murder case.

The accused, Jabid alias Billa, had allegedly helped the key accused, dumper driver Sabbir alias Mittar, to escape to Rajasthan on his bike.

Jabid, a native of Gandwa village in Alwar district of Rajasthan, was nabbed as the third accused by police on July 22. Police had taken him on a two-day remand and later, he was sent to judicial custody.

Advocate Tahir Hussain, lawyer of Jabid, moved a bail application in the court of CJM Satish Kumar on Wednesday and the court granted him bail.

A senior police official said Jabid was an accused under Section 212 of the IPC, which is bailable.

Jabid had given a ride to driver Sabbir on his bike. They first reached the place of Sabbir’s sister at Sare Kalan village and then moved to Gwalta before fleeing to Rajasthan.

Eleven of the 12 accused in the DSP murder have been arrested so far.
