Film festival at DAV varsity from Nov 18

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, DAV University, Jalandhar, has planned to organise ‘DAV University Film Festival’. As a part of the festival, ‘Film Appreciation Workshop’ and ‘Short Film Competition’ will be conducted on November 18, 19 and 20.
The event will be first of its kind in the university. Selected students from all colleges affiliated to various universities in the country will be invited to participate in the festival.
Renowned documentary and filmmaker Anwar Jamaal will be the coordinator/director of film festival and eminent personalities such as Tripurari Sharan (former director of the FTII, Pune), Gurvinder Singh (renowned Punjabi film director), Yashpal Sharma (Bollywood actor and theatre artiste), Vijay Kumar (NSD alumni and actor/theatre artist) and Ravinder Kaul (theatre actor/director and filmmaker) will be part of the event.
