A Chandigarh court issued notices to MP Kangana Ranaut and other respondents for December 5 in a criminal complaint filed for allegedly maligning the image of Sikhs and misrepresentation facts in her movie “Emergency”.

The complaint has been filed by Ravinder Singh Bassi, president of Lawyers for Humanity, under offences punishable under Sections 196 (1), 197 (1) 302 and 299 OF BNS. Bassi said in the movie “Emergency”, the actress has tried to malign the image of Sikhs.
