Coordination panel of various dept officials formed

A coordination committee comprising officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the District Town Planning and the Police Department has been formed to ensure smooth execution of the construction of the stretch of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway.
The committee will look after the laying of the stretch from Khemkaran to Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, Ramdas and Dera Baba Nanak.
Stating this, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla reviewed the meeting held regarding the project. It included officials from the district administration, the Police Department, the NHAI, the airport and others. He called upon the officials to accelerate the work of land acquisition.
Meanwhile, MP Gurjeet Aujla also chaired a meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee. Matters related to the passenger facilities, upgrade of amenities at the airport, new destination link and further development works of the airport were discussed in details.
The meeting was attended by Khadoor Sahib MP Jasbir Singh Gill, Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira, Commissioner of Police Dr SS Gill, Airport Director VK Seth, CISF Commandant Dharamveer Yadav and others.
