Residents of Ghungrali village in Ludhiana district acknowledged the efforts of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann today to ensure the upcoming biogas plant would not cause any pollution in their village.

A delegation led by Sarpanch Amritpal Singh and Hardeep Singh met the CM at his office. Mann said an oversight committee comprising all the stakeholders would be constituted to monitor the project regularly.

He added that the plant owners had signed an agreement with the government to follow all the norms. The CM also informed that the Punjab Pollution Control Board would keep a strict vigil over the plant.
