Jalandhar, July 9

A robbery attempt at gunpoint late last night near BMC chowk turned into chaos when the women who were targeted fled leading to a dramatic car crash. The robbers, startled by the accident, quickly abandoned the crime scene.

According to the information received, two young women ventured out late last night to grab a bite from a food joint on Cool Road. Sukhwinder Kaur, one of the victims, recounted the harrowing experience. She stated that while she was standing near her car at BMC Chowk, two young men approached her, brandishing a pistol and demanding cash and valuables.

Terrified at the sight of the weapon, Sukhwinder Kaur quickly jumped into her car and sped away. However, as she reached Cool Road, she lost control over the vehicle, crashing into a divider and causing the car to overturn. The robbers, who were chasing her at that time, fled the scene after witnessing the crash, she alleged.

Sukhwinder Kaur said passersby rushed to her aid, pulling them out from the overturned vehicle and transporting them to a nearby private hospital. The victims sustained minor injuries, while their car remained at the crash site until morning.
