Ram Lal Thakur, MLA from Sri Naina Devi, said here today that Rs 210 as ration allowance and Rs 500 as house rent allowance was insufficient for police personnel.

He said the allowances were given to policemen as per the Police Act 2007. The government must review the Act to enhance these as the living had become expensive. He said the decision not to post constables in their home district was also wrong.

Ram Lal said the government must improve the infrastructure in police stations.
