The 10th chapter of Yuvaa Rang Utsav (YRU) began today at KL Saigal Memorial Hall. The first play was ‘Tooma’ by Sarthak Rangmanch from Patiala. This year, Yuvaa brings 10 fine productions to the city stage for theatre lovers. Dr Ankur Sharma, founder and creative director of Yuvaa theatre, said that the bouquet at this Rang Utsav contains colourful presentations from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Patiala, Bathinda and Jalandhar with artists like Rajendra Gupta, Sayeed Alam and Gaurav Das putting up performances to enrich theatre lovers in the city.

On Saturday, Rajendra Gupta, veteran film, theatre and TV actor, will be performing ‘Patkatha — Sansad Se Sadak Tak’, which is a poetic performance based on the work of poet Sudama Panday ‘Dhumil’. The festival that will start on November 22 will conclude on December 15 with plays being performed every weekend.
