Youth hurt in attack at Indira Colony

A youth was attacked with sharp weapons outside his house at Indira Colony, Mani Majra yesteray. The assailants also fired a gunshot. An old enmity was stated to be the reason behind the attack.

According to the police, Krishan reported that Monu, alias Marori; Monu, alias Kandu; Nagad, Rahul and others allegedly stopped him near his house and attacked him with sharp weapons.

The assailants also allegedly opened fire outside the victim’s house before fleeing the spot. The victim suffered injuries on the head and was admitted to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16.

A misfired cartridge and a blood-stained jacket were recovered from outside the victim’s house. The police have registered a case of attempt to murder at the IT Park police station.

Police sources said the raids were being conducted to nab the assailants.
