Youth ends life after killing fiancée
The Kurukshetra police have registered a murder case against a youth who ended his life after allegedly killing his fiancee. They were found dead in a hotel room last night.
The deceased were identified as Kanwaldeep, a resident of Dabwali, and Anamika (23), a resident of Ambala.
Brij Pal, a resident of Ambala, in his complaint stated that he has five daughters and Anamika was one of them. She was pursuing MA from Kurukshetra University and used to stay in a hostel. “Three years ago, they were engaged. However, I had told them that the marriage will take place after the marriages of her elder sisters. On Friday, she told us that it was Kanwaldeep’s birthday on Saturday and she will return after celebrating his birthday. On Saturday night, they were found dead in a hotel room. While Anamika was strangulated and was lying dead on the floor, Kanwaldeep was found hanging,” the complainant said.
SHO Thanesar City police station Satish Kumar said the exact reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. The bodies were handed over to the families after the post-mortem and a case has been registered.
