Youth beaten to death
A youth was reportedly beaten to death near a government primary school on Bajana road in Khanpur Kalan village on Sunday night. The police have registered a case and begun a probe into the matter.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Monu, alias Moosa, of Khanpur Kalan village.
Sonu, brother of the deceased, in his statement to Sadar Gohana police said he was doing works at a private factory in Kundli and was at work when he received a call from his family, informing him about Monu’s murder. He said after receiving this information he rushed to the spot on the Bajana road near the school to find his brother’s body lying in a pool of blood there.
Sonu further alleged that Monu, along with his friend Prince, had embarked on an evening walk near the school and after a while Prince had gone to bring a packet of milk. Meanwhile, 10-12 persons in two black coloured Scorpios came and murdered his brother by assaulting him with sticks, hockey sticks and bricks due to some old enmity.
Following the information Gohana Sadar SHO Inspector Mahipal, along with a police team reached the spot to inquire about the murder. The police have registered a case under various Sections of the BNS and began a probe into the matter.
The police on Monday handed over the body to the victim’’s kin after a post-mortem examination.
As per the police, the deceased was also involved in various criminal activities, including a murder case. The police had also arrested Monu for murder in 2020 in the village.
