Young athletes from across the state showcased their talent in various track and field events during the 37th Haryana State Junior Athletics Championships-2024. They performed in 5,000-m race, pole vault, javelin throw, shot put, long jump, hurdle races, discus throw and other events.

In the 5,000-m men’s event, Aavkash won the first position, Vansh secured the second spot and Sumit Rathee came third. The pole vault event saw Achanak take the top spot, while Parveen and Mohit Singh claimed second and third places, respectively.

In the shot put competitions, in the boys’ under-18 category, Yuvraj grabbed the top spot, followed by Akshay and Sawan who came second and third. In the under-16 shot put event, Nitesh Kumar came first, Ritesh Chahal and Ravi secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The javelin throw for boys under 16 was another highlight, with Vikas winning the first position, Aniket securing the second and Prince grabbing the third position. In the 5,000-m girls’ event, Kajal clinched the first place, followed by Lalita and Preena winning the second and third spots, respectively.

In the girls’ under-20 pole vault, Vanshika Ghanghas won the first positions, Bhumika and Payal secured the second and third positions. Muskan, Nishan and Anisha dominated the javelin throw in the under-16 girls’ category, winning the first, second and third positions, respectively.

In the 5,000-m walk, Sachin, Sahil Joon and Sahil Atkan secured the first, second and third positions, respectively.

Anjali secured the top spot in the girls’ under-16 shot put, followed by Riya and Sakshi in the second and third places. The long jump under-16 girls’ category saw Dixsha grab the first place, Anmol the second and Komal secured the third position.

In the boys’ under-18, 1,000-meter race, Prince won the first, Mohit second and Satish third. The under-18 girls’ 1000-meter event saw Heena finish first, Sanjana second, and Muskan third. Krishan Kumar won the first position in the boys’ under-18 long jump, while Maan Singh and Dinesh Tanwar claimed second and third positions, respectively.

In the 800-meter boys under-20 category, Dhoni emerged victorious, with Kapil and Neeraj Sharma securing second and third places. In the girls’ under-20, 800-meter race, Geetika won first place, Tamanna secured second, and Chanchal finished third.

In the girls’ under-20 shot put, Muneesh, Bharti Saini and Payal grabbed the top three spots. In the girls’ under-18 long jump, Muskan, Neha and Kashish stood first, second and third. Anshu won first place in the boys’ under-16 long jump, followed by Mohd Ayan and Bhavet in second and third positions.

Tushar won the boys’ under-16 600-m race, while Akshay Bhardwaj and Aakash Kumar grabbed the second and third positions. In the girls’ under-20 100-m race, Saniya, Shalenshi and Kasvi won the top three positions.

In the boys’ under-16 80-m hurdle race, Bhupender Singh claimed the first place, followed by Karandeep in second and Lakshay in third positions. In the 80-m hurdle race of girls under 16, Ronak, Muskan and Palak won the first, second and third spots, respectively.
