King Charles thanks people for support
London: Britain’s King Charles III on Sunday expressed his “heartfelt thanks” to the British public for their messages of support ever since his cancer diagnosis was revealed by Buckingham Palace this week. The 75-year-old monarch wrote the message from his royal estate at Sandringham in Norfolk, eastern England, in which he also expressed his “lifelong admiration” for the work done by cancer charities. Kansas baby put in oven ‘by mistake’, dies
Kansas City: An infant in Missouri died when her mother mistakenly put her down for a nap in an oven, a prosecutor said on Saturday. Mariah Thomas of Kansas City was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. It is yet to be explained how that mistake happened. Police responded on Friday afternoon to a report of an infant not breathing. A probable cause statement said responders found the child with apparent burns. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. ap
