Workers behind AAP’s victory in Jalandhar West bypoll will be rewarded soon: Bhagwant Mann
Jalandhar, July 24
At a thanksgiving luncheon event organised for Aam Aadmi Party volunteers, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday said all those who led the party to victory in the Jalandhar West bypoll would soon be rewarded.
Mann, addressing a gathering of party leaders and workers at Bath Castle here this afternoon, said “This win belongs to the hard-working team of our volunteers. I know the names of the party workers who worked hard for AAP’s win in this bypoll. All of them will get responsibilities in the organisation and a chance to serve the government soon.”
Mann also thanked the workers on behalf of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and said he had celebrated this win with him in jail too. Mann said the victory showed the mirror to those who had thought that they could finish the Aam Aadmi Party by putting Kejriwal in the jail.
He further, “No one predicted that Mohinder Bhagat will get around 60,000 votes and will win this seat by a margin of more than 37,000 votes”. Mann said during the election, he again had meetings with businessmen, traders, doctors, teachers and many people and came to know about the issues that need to be resolved.
He also took a dig at ex-MLA Sheetal Angural and said patience was important.
The CM said internal disputes finished political parties and Shiromani Akali Dal was an example of it. Mann also congratulated MLA Mohinder Bhagat for his win. He also took to his X account to thank the voters of Jalandhar West.
