The police have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her sister-in-law at a village in the district recently. The police had already arrested the victim’s husband in this regard.

The victim was identified as Meenu. According to police sources, the accused, identified as Raj Rani, had been wanted in the case. Meenu allegedly died by the poison administered by her husband, Vikas, and Rani. Rani is the wife of Vikas’ brother. As per the complaint filed by the deceased’s kin, Rani and Vikas were having an affair, which was opposed by Meenu.

The police had registered a murder case on the basis of the FIR lodged. Both accused had been remanded to judicial custody, said a police official.
