Woman arrested with 20 gm heroin

The Jalalabad police on Wednesday seized 20gm heroin from a woman during patrolling in Hazara Ram Singh Wala village.

A case was registered against her under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The accused said she used to sell liquor and later on, she started selling heroin. According to information, she had been selling drugs for the past seven months at her village. During preliminary investigation, she said her husband was an alcoholic, so she began the liquor business to meet her family’s needs.

The accused also allegedly claimed on social media that there were many people in her village who sold heroin. The police said it would verify her claim during the remand.
