With 45 meetings, AAP to cover 90 Assembly segments in Haryana

After launching Arvind Kejriwal’s five guarantees for poll-bound Haryana, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to take his message to the public by holding meetings across the state.
Intensifying the party’s poll campaign, the AAP has planned to organise 45 public meetings to cover all 90 Assembly segments of the state.
As per information, Delhi Chief Minister and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, MP Sanjay Singh, AAP national general secretary Sandeep Pathak and other party leaders will address the public meetings.
AAP spokesperson Sumit Hindustani said, “The party has decided to hold meetings to apprise the public of Kejriwal’s five guarantees and other the policies of the party. Senior leaders will be addressing these meetings for which we have started making preparations. Meetings are being held with the party workers and duties are being assigned. We are looking for appropriate venues to organise these meetings. The schedule will be finalised and announced soon.”
The AAP is promising free electricity to households, establishing mohalla clinics, Rs 1,000 per month aid to every woman, employment for youth and better and free education.
Speaking to The Tribune, AAP state chief Sushil Gupta said, “The party is all set to contest the Assembly election and we are focusing on strengthening our booths. It has been decided to hold 45 meetings across the state. We will be covering two Assembly segments in a meeting and the entire state will be covered by August 12. The first meeting will be held on July 26 in Hisar. Besides, we are already holding ‘Badlav Jansamvad’ programme to strengthen the party’s base. We have already covered over 6,500 wards and villages so far.”
Gupta added, “Aspirants have been approaching us to contest the election from across the state. The names will be finalised soon. The AAP will be the first to field all its candidates for the Assembly election.”
To a query regarding contesting the election, Gupta, said, “The party will take the decision and I will follow the directions of the party.”
